Automotive Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
Naughtons Car Dismantlers Ltd is one of Ireland's leading vehicle recycling and used parts specialists. Based in Belcarra, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, we dismantle modern vehicles and supply quality tested used parts across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.
What you'll be doing
- Diagnosing and assessing vehicles on arrival
- Removing engines, gearboxes, suspension and mechanical components
- Identifying quality used parts suitable for resale
- Working safely with hand and power tools
- Assisting with vehicle movements around the yard
- Operating a forklift and materials handler (training can be provided)
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
What we're looking for
- Qualified mechanic or strong mechanical experience
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full driving licence
- Forklift or materials handler experience is an advantage but not essential
