Bar Manager – Local Country Pub
We’re looking for an experienced Bar Manager to run a busy local country pub with a strong community atmosphere. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading a team, creating a welcoming environment and keeping operations running smoothly.
About the Role
- Managing the running of the pub
- Leading and motivating bar and floor staff
- Maintaining high standards of customer service
- Handling stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Managing cash handling and till procedures
- Creating staff rotas and overseeing shifts
- Supporting events, live music nights and local functions where required
- Building strong relationships with regular customers and the local community
Requirements
- Previous experience managing a bar or pub essential
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of operations
- Good organisational abilities
- Responsible, reliable, and professional attitude
