Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Airbnb Host/Hostess to manage guest communications and ensure a positive guest experience. This role is primarily remote and involves responding to guest inquiries, handling reservations, coordinating check-ins/check-outs, and resolving guest concerns. Occasionally, the successful candidate may be required to visit the property to assist with urgent issues or guest-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Communication
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries via Airbnb and other communication channels.
- Manage booking requests, reservation modifications, and cancellations.
- Provide guests with check-in instructions, house rules, and local recommendations.
- Maintain high response rates and guest satisfaction scores.
Reservation Management
- Monitor upcoming bookings and ensure guest information is accurate.
- Coordinate check-in and check-out processes.
- Update property availability and communicate with cleaning and maintenance teams as needed.
Guest Support
- Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot common issues remotely and coordinate solutions with service providers.
- Follow up with guests to ensure concerns have been resolved satisfactorily.
Property Oversight
- Conduct occasional site visits when required to resolve guest issues or inspect the property.
- Coordinate emergency responses related to guest stays.
- Liaise with cleaners, maintenance contractors, and property management personnel.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of guest communications and incidents.
- Monitor guest reviews and assist in maintaining excellent property ratings.
- Suggest improvements to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Airbnb platform and basic computer applications.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a phone.
- Ability to travel to the property occasionally when required.
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays for urgent guest matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, property management, customer support, or short-term rental hosting.
- Familiarity with Airbnb, VRBO, or other vacation rental platforms.
- Experience handling guest complaints and conflict resolution.
Working Conditions
- Primarily remote/work-from-home position.
- Occasional on-site visits may be required for guest support, inspections, or emergency situations.
- Flexible schedule with responsiveness to guest needs during active bookings.
Compensation
