Our client based in Co. Wexford is seeking a Qualified Mechanic to join a well-established agricultural machinery dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of tractors, agricultural machinery, mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics, including their operation, maintenance, and servicing.
Location: Co. Wexford
Salary: €38k-€45k DOE
Key Responsibilities

Carry out practical service and repair work on agricultural machinery.

Diagnose faults both in the workshop and on customer sites.

Assemble and prepare new machinery to a high standard.

Liaise with the workshop manager regarding required repairs and daily/weekly job scheduling.

Complete all required documentation in line with company standards.

Provide technical support and assistance to customers.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the workshop area.

Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
Requirements

Qualified Technician/Mechanic with either a minimum of 4 years apprenticeship experience, or a relevant third-level qualification in Agricultural Engineering or similar.

Computer literacy and familiarity with diagnostic systems.

Ability to carry out electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Awareness of customer needs and the importance of customer service.

Ability to work to a high standard under pressure.
