TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN
Ballinlough are the main dealers for Thermo King refrigeration units and Dhollandia tail lifts in Ireland. In addition to the above we also offer fleet maintenance management along with a host of auxiliary transport services.
We have an opportunity for a full-time permanent Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our team in our North Dublin Depot.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance of Transport Refrigeration
· Inspect and diagnose refrigeration system problems
· Repair and replace defective components such as compressors, condensers, and evaporators
· Charge refrigeration systems with the appropriate amount of refrigerant
· Test and adjust system components to ensure optimal performance
· Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems to minimise breakdowns and extend system life
· Install new refrigeration systems in vehicles
· Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components such as sensors, thermostats, and control systems
· Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
· Follow safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
· Technical training or certification in refrigeration or related field
· Proven experience as a transport refrigeration engineer
· Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and their components
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
