The Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Full-Time Night Porter to join our night team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the hotel overnight while delivering exceptional guest service at all times.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has strong attention to detail, and can maintain a calm and professional manner in a busy hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist late-arriving guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Carry out guest check-ins and check-outs during night hours
- Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property throughout the night
- Conduct regular security and fire safety checks
- Set up conference rooms and function areas for events and breakfast service
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas
- Handle guest requests efficiently and professionally
- Assist with luggage and porter duties when required
- Complete night audit procedures and relevant reports
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents
- Work closely with the Night Manager and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations
Requirements
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Fluent English essential
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays
