SSO Personnel – Facilities Support Technician (Domestic Maintenance)

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Domestic Plumber to join our multi-skilled technical team delivering Hard FM services at the Eli Lilly Kinsale pharmaceutical facility. In this hands-on role you will be responsible for the routine inspection, maintenance, repair and emergency response of all plumbing and drainage systems across the site. You will work as part of a self-managed team of technicians, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service in a regulated GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems and log all findings and corrective actions in the site CMMS (Maximo).
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, diagnose issues and carry out repairs.
- Install, maintain and repair sanitary units and associated fixtures.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Building and Fabric systems.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to schedule work orders and manage assets.
- Complete all planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive and project work within agreed timescales.
- Meet monthly and quarterly KPIs / SLAs.
- Keep ITP documentation up to date and carry out RCA / Fishbone analysis where required.
- Promote and manage safety for yourself and others across all contracts.
- Provide support to other trades when requested and participate in cross-functional meetings.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the client, suppliers and sub-contractors.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Advanced Certificate Craft – Plumbing (Level 6) or equivalent.
- 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in a relevant facilities/plumbing role.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (pharma or similar highly desirable).
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing system design, installation, commissioning and maintenance procedures.
- Full clean driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
- Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Can-do attitude, strong team player who is also comfortable working independently.
- Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Commitment to safety and high standards of work quality.
Advantageous
- Previous experience with CMMS systems (Maximo preferred).
- Program management experience for minor projects.
