Purpose of the Role:
You will lead all Technical, Compliance, Food Safety, and Accreditation activities across the farms, ensuring operations remain fully compliant with legal, customer, and certification requirements. The role is responsible for maintaining audit readiness, managing technical systems, driving continuous improvement, and providing data-driven insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
1. Compliance & Accreditation Management
-
Lead and maintain compliance with all regulatory, food safety, customer, and certification requirements, i.e. GlobalG.A.P, Bord Bia Sustainable Horticultural Assurance, LEAF Marque

Ensure farms remain audit-ready at all times through effective management of documentation, records, and compliance systems.

Coordinate external audits, certification programmes, and relationships with auditors, certification bodies, laboratories, and regulatory authorities.

Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, ensuring requirements are implemented across farm operations.

Lead corrective action processes related to audit findings, non-conformances, and compliance risks.
2. Technical Systems & Data Management

Develop and maintain robust systems for collecting, managing, and analysing operational, compliance, and sustainability data.

Ensure all technical records are accurate, traceable, and maintained in accordance with accreditation requirements.

Oversee annual testing and monitoring programmes, including water, soil, crop, and environmental analysis.

Drive high standards of data integrity, document control, and record management across all farm operations.
3. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Produce technical, compliance, and performance reports for management and external stakeholders.

Analyze operational and compliance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, efficiency, sustainability, and overall farm performance.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
- Desired, but not essential: Degree Level 8 or equivalent in Agriculture, Food Science, Environmental Science, Quality Management or related discipline.

Proven experience in Technical, Compliance, Quality, or Food Safety Management within agriculture, horticulture, fresh produce, or food production.

Strong knowledge of certification schemes, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Experience managing audits, compliance systems, and technical documentation.

Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Advanced computer literacy and reporting capabilities.
-
Fluent English (written and spoken).

Full Driving Licence.
Desirable:
-
Lead Auditor qualification.
-
Experience with GlobalG.A.P., Bord Bia, LEAF, Sedex, or equivalent certification schemes.

Project Management qualification.
