Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Chef to lead the grill section in our dynamic kitchen at Searsons. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef who takes pride in preparing great food, thrives under pressure, and wants to work in a supportive team environment. This role offers a 4-day work week and a competitive hourly rate of €18-€20, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the grill section during busy service periods, ensuring high-quality food is delivered consistently and efficiently.
- Cook steaks, burgers, chicken, and other grilled items to spec with precision and care.
- Oversee and ensure your section is clean, organised, and fully prepped each day.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to maintain food quality, safety, and service standards.
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and minimising waste.
- Maintain excellent hygiene standards and ensure full compliance with HACCP regulations.
- Help mentor junior chefs and support their development on the grill.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy kitchen, with strong grill or meat cookery experience essential.
- Proven ability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment with calmness and focus.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Passion for great food, teamwork, and high standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of our 4 day work week,
- Must have previous experience working in Ireland.
- Fluent English.
- References essential.
