Cleaning Operative – Leisure Facility Askeaton, Co. Limerick
Grant & O’Brien Cleaning Services are currently recruiting an experienced Cleaning Operative for a leisure facility in Askeaton.
This role requires a reliable, detail-focused person who takes pride in delivering a very high standard of cleaning. The successful candidate must have previous cleaning experience, excellent English, strong timekeeping and the ability to work independently to Grant & O’Brien standards.

Askeaton Leisure Facility, Co. Limerick
Hours of Work
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
8:00pm – 10:30pm
7.5 hours per week
Main Duties
The Cleaning Operative will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the leisure facility, including:
- Cleaning toilets, sinks, changing areas and washroom facilities
- Cleaning floors, including sweeping, hoovering and mopping
- Cleaning doors, handles, light switches and high-touch points
- Emptying bins and replacing liners
- Cleaning skirting boards, ledges, corners and removing dust/cobwebs
- Cleaning mirrors, glass and surfaces to a streak-free standard
- Ensuring all areas are left clean, safe, tidy and ready for use
- Using cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
- Following Grant & O’Brien colour-coding and site cleaning procedures
- Reporting any issues, damage, stock shortages or health and safety concerns to the supervisor
Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- Previous professional cleaning experience
- A strong eye for detail and high cleaning standards
- Excellent English communication skills
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- A positive and professional attitude
- A reference from previous employment
- Permission to work in Ireland
What We Expect
Grant & O’Brien Cleaning Services works to a very high commercial cleaning standard. The successful candidate must be able to clean thoroughly, not just surface clean. Toilets, sinks, floors, doors, ledges, skirting boards, corners, high-touch areas and all assigned areas must be cleaned properly and checked before leaving site.
