Fáilte Ireland invites applications for the position of Support, Marketing Communications. The role will report to the Marketing Communications Officer.
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will provide administrative and marketing support to the Marketing Communications Team to maximise the development and delivery of world class marketing communications that will encourage Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland consumers to take increased short breaks in the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of award-winning marketing campaigns and work with best-in-class agency partners.
The successful candidate will also be part of the team providing support to all divisions within Fáilte Ireland to deliver best in class communications to thousands of businesses in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Note: Our partner agency, Tourism Ireland, has the responsibility of marketing the Island of Ireland to overseas holidaymakers. We work very closely in partnership with them as they develop global campaigns.
At Failte Ireland we are brand builders. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and building our brands Wild Atlantic Way (WAW), Ireland’s Ancient East (IAE), Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands (IHH) and Dublin.
Primary Objectives/Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of an effective brand(s) communication strategy and implementation programme, utilising all channels to build awareness, increase intention and ultimately deliver increased volume and revenue from all target visitor segments in ROI & NI.
Assist with project management for the delivery of marketing campaigns and projects, including taking individual responsibility for managing specific elements of campaigns, working both with the wider team and also under own initiative.
Supporting the guardianship of our brands and creative assets by working with internal teams and agency partners on usages, asset storage and adherence to brand guidelines.
Assist the team in working closely with key agency partners.
Support the team in reporting on data, learnings and ROI analysis from marketing campaigns.
Support the coordination and preparation of content/presentations for brands, partners and/or internal meetings as required.
Support the team in the development of copy for press releases, articles and briefing documents.
Support the coordination of activities for shoots, media and other partners.
Work closely with the wider marketing and digital team to drive efficiencies and maximise content distribution and impact.
Collaborate with other internal teams to deliver an effective marketing work programme.
To support the wider organisation with their communications in terms of recommending and advising on the best channels to deliver to maximise our reach.
Responsible for administration and financial management tasks in line with Fáilte Ireland policy.
Provide logistics support for meetings/workshops/events by setting up venue, organising room layout, booking accommodation, dealing with invitees.
Record, produce and distribute minutes of meetings.
Carry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the Marketing Team by supporting different work projects, as required, from time to time.
The flexibility to travel domestically, internationally, and work unsociable hours may be required.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have / demonstrate in your application form the following:
A minimum of two years’ marketing experience.
One year experience in a marketing communications role at a large consumer brand driven organisation (or a comparable role within a marketing agency or similar company).
Experience working with agency partners.
Microsoft office proficiency.
Strong organisational skills with administrative and budget processing experience.
Experience collaborating and working cross functionally with other teams and stakeholders.
Excellent Presentation /Communication Skills.
Qualifications/Mandatory Training
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of Fáilte Ireland brands and the broader Irish tourism product offering.
A Professional Qualification (Level 8 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline.
Experience in supporting integrated marketing campaigns ie. including ATL (TV, radio, OOH) as well as BTL digital and social media elements.
Experience with marketing technology e.g. tools for managing workflows and/ or analytics tools to gain customer insights.
Key Competencies
Office Location and Blended Working:
We do not ask for addresses as part of the application process, however it is the responsibility of the candidate to acknowledge the base location of the role. The successful candidate must regularly work from and attend the base office location of the role. Please note: Remote working from outside the State is not permitted other than in exceptional circumstances. As this role is within the Irish public service, the post-holder must carry out a minimum of 80% of their working time within the State (Republic of Ireland). Candidates who reside in Northern Ireland must be able to meet this requirement.
Selection Process:
Shortlisting will be based on applications and the selection process may involve two competency based interviews. A panel of successful candidates may be formed following the selection process.
