As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused and commercially driven Key Account Manager to join our expanding team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our existing clients while driving the continued growth and success of the business.
The Role
As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key customer accounts, developing new business opportunities and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout every stage of each project.
Working closely with the Managing Director, you will help deliver projects efficiently, maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the strategic growth of Makool Refrigeration Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts.
- Prepare and issue quotations for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, electrical and planned maintenance works.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries, providing both technical and commercial support.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time and to the highest standard.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing customer accounts and generate new business.
- Prepare and submit quotations, tenders and proposals for commercial, industrial and public sector projects.
- Negotiate pricing, maintenance agreements, service contracts and contract renewals.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve any issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate customer records, quotations and sales activity using the company's management system.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the company's business development strategy.
- Attend client meetings, networking events and site visits throughout Ireland.
- Keep up to date with industry legislation, F-Gas regulations, health and safety requirements and developments within the refrigeration and HVAC sector.
- Work alongside the Managing Director to develop and implement strategic sales and business development plans.
- Represent Makool Refrigeration Ltd. professionally at all times and promote the company's reputation for quality, reliability and customer service.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Key Account Management, Business Development or Technical Sales.
- Previous experience within the refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, facilities management or construction industry would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- A proactive, customer-focused and solution-driven approach.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM or business management systems.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A full, clean Irish driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
- Verifiable references from previous employers.
- A proven track record of career progression, demonstrating increased responsibility and consistent performance.
