We’re looking for a hands-on Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Hatch Glasthule ..someone who thrives in hospitality, leads by example, and takes pride in creating a warm, high-performing environment.
The Role
As Venue Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the venue, including team leadership, service standards, operations, and customer experience. You’ll play a key role in shaping the culture and energy of Hatch while ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the venue
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience at all times
- Recruit, train, motivate, and support the team
- Maintain high standards across service, cleanliness, and presentation
- Manage staff scheduling and labour costs
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Drive sales and identify opportunities for growth
- Handle customer feedback professionally and proactively
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety standards
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture
What We’re Looking For
- Previous management experience in hospitality, café, or restaurant environments
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Positive, energetic, and solutions-focused attitude
- Passion for hospitality and community-driven spaces
- Ability to stay calm and lead under pressure
- Experience managing teams, rotas, and service flow
- Flexibility to work weekends and busy service periods
