PV Generation is expanding our roofing and solar installation teams. We are looking for experienced roofers, carpenters or roofing installers who want steady work, strong earning potential and training in solar PV installation.
This role may suit candidates based in Dundalk, Ardee, North Louth or surrounding areas who are comfortable meeting a crew vehicle at an agreed meeting point. Occasional travel may be required to our Monaghan office for meetings & Warehouse for stock collection.
Our crews travel daily to solar installation sites nationwide using pooled company vans, so reliability for early starts and agreed meeting points is important.
Solar experience is an advantage, but it is not essential. If you are an experienced roofer who is comfortable working at heights, we can provide training in solar PV installation.
Pay:€50,000-€65,000 per year, depending on experience.
What you will be doing:
- Installing solar PV systems on a variety of roofs, including domestic, commercial and agricultural
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining the work being undertaken and any adjustments needed.
- Working collaboratively with the team lead and offering support where necessary.
- Liaising with the electrical team to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Completing tasks to a high standard within the allocated timeframe.
- Maintaining accurate records and submitting all project completion documents.
- Prioritising health and safety at all times.
What we are looking for:
- At least 2 years of roofing, carpentry or similar roof-based trade experience.
- Confident working at heights and outdoors in a busy installation environment.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling and Working at Heights certificates. (Abrasive Wheels certificate is an advantage)
- Solar PV experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work well as part of a crew.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
