TechStar is one of Ireland's leading mobile device repair companies, with stores across Galway, Limerick, and Cork. We're growing — and we're looking for a skilled technician to join our Galway Lab team.
The Role
This is a hands-on, versatile technician role based in our Galway Lab. You'll be repairing smartphones and tablets.
We will train you to repair laptops and desktops — across all major brands.
It's a customer-facing position, so being comfortable talking to people is just as important as being good with your hands.

Sales skills are required for this role.
What You'll Be Doing
· Diagnosing and repairing smartphones and tablets (Apple, Samsung, and other brands)
· Repairing laptops and desktops — or learning to, if you're coming from a phones background
· Meeting, greeting, and advising customers on repairs and device options
· Managing your own repair queue to hit time and quality targets
· Keeping accurate records of all repairs in our system
· Maintaining the lab to a high standard
· Supporting the team with opening, closing, and day-to-day store operations
What We're Looking For
· Proven experience repairing smartphones and tablets in a retail or lab environment
· Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
· Laptop and desktop repair experience is a strong advantage — we'll train if you're willing to learn
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work at pace without cutting corners
· A genuine interest in technology and how devices work
· Reliable, professional, and good with customers

Hours
32–40 hours per week. You may occasionally be asked to work or train at other TechStar locations across Galway, Limerick, and Cork.
