We are seeking a reliable General Operative (GO) with a valid Safe Pass, Signing, Lighting & Guarding (SLG) certification, and Manual Handling training to join our road ducting crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of ESB/utility ducting and associated civil works.
- Set up, maintain and remove traffic management in accordance with SLG requirements.
- Carry out excavation support, duct laying, backfilling and reinstatement works.
- Operate small tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Follow all site health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Assist plant operators and other members of the site team as required.
Requirements:
- Valid Safe Pass.
- Current SLG (Signing, Lighting & Guarding) certification.
- Manual Handling certificate.
- Previous experience in civil engineering, utilities or roadworks is desirable.
- Full Category B driving licence preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a team and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Desirable:
- Experience working on ESB or utility projects.
- Additional tickets such as CSCS, Banksman/Slinger, or First Aid are advantageous.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a safety-first attitude, and experience working on live road or utility projects.
