Main Responsibilities
The main duties of the service engineer will include below:
· Carrying out load tests, visual inspections, installations, repairs and overhauls of lifting, material handling and height safety equipment. Training will be provided.
· Working on the service team you will be responsible for checking service calendar and contacting customers directly to organise jobs assigned to you by our service manager.
· Liaising with our service co-ordinator for work booked in.
· Our engineers use PDA’s (handheld digital devices) when carrying out inspections on assets so
· Filling out time sheets via Inspected system at the end of each day.
Position Requirements
Suitable candidates for this position will:
· Have experience working on a service team
· Experience in industry would be an advantage but not essential if quick learner.
· An electric background is essential and a mechanical background would also be an advantage
· Excellent communication skills coupled with effective planning and organisational skills along with the ability to work on own initiative.
· Proficient in IT including google calendars for service engineers and experience in Quickbooks software would be an advantage but not essential.
