Electric Picnic will take place between August 28–30, 2026 in Stradbally Hall, Stradbally, Co. Laois. We are looking to hire an additional 20 local catering / FOH staff for our Greek, Loaded Hash Browns, Churros and Smokehouse units at this event.
Duties to include:
- Assisting with the preparation of food items, including chopping vegetables, assembling dishes, and maintaining food safety standards
- Serving food and drinks to attendees, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Washing dishes, sanitizing food service areas, and disposing of waste
- Assisting with inventory control, restocking items, and ensuring adequate supplies
- Assisting with set up, prepping food service stations, and with the breakdown and cleanup of the event space
- Collaborating with other catering staff and event organizers to ensure a smooth and efficient service
The ideal candidates will be flexible, adapting to the dynamic environment of a festival, handling unexpected situations, and working long hours if needed. Good customer service skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of people. Food handling and safety knowledge a plus, understanding of food safety and hygiene practices are essential in the work we do. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to handle pressure and work efficiently under time constraints. Festival environments require physical stamina, with the need to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Previous catering or hospitality experience is preferred. All interviews will take place online and the successful candidates are required to be over 18, have a valid photo ID for accreditation and be able to attend a 2 hour induction on site on the 27th of August.
