Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client assessments, reviews, and care plan updates.
- Carry out spot checks, supervision visits, and quality audits.
- Support, mentor, and supervise Care Assistants in the field.
- Ensure care services are delivered in line with company policies and HIQA standards where applicable.
- Assist with the investigation and reporting of incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns.
- Liaise with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and community services.
- Participate in the recruitment, induction, and training of care staff.
- Monitor service delivery and address any operational or quality issues.
- Maintain accurate client and staff records.
- Participate in the on-call rota as required.
Requirements for the Role:
Essential
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare or home care sector.
- Previous experience supervising or leading care staff.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong IT and report-writing skills.
- Full clean Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- QQI Level 6 or higher in Healthcare, Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience conducting care assessments and audits.
- Knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements within the Irish home care sector.
