About the role
We are recruiting for the role of Warehouse and Dry Goods Manager, reporting to the Site General Manager, based at Fox & Geese, Clondalkin, Dublin 22. As part of the Site Leadership team, this natural leader is responsible for the management of the Fox & Geese Warehouse Operations to ensure excellent customer service for both the export and domestic markets.
Key responsibilities:
Lead, manage, develop the warehousing team which works over a number of 24 hour shifts Monday to Friday.
Effective safe and cost-effective management of the Fox and Geese warehouse.
Ensure all Customs, Security & Regulatory requirements are managed and reported accurately and on time
Ensure all customer requirements are met.
Ensure all Company policies and procedures and relevant Quality, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to.
Manage the contract and relationship with the third-party warehouse operation service provider.
Ensure building and equipment are maintained to the correct standards and that maintenance costs are managed.
Ensure local Health & Safety standards at F&G are adhered to including training of personnel and timely actioning and reporting of any incidents/accidents within the Warehousing function.
Manage the domestic and international interface on any brand security or traceability issues.
Identify and implement any relevant continuous improvement initiates in line with site roadmap including supporting new warehouse and site projects.
Manage HR/IR issues to ensure a healthy industrial relations climate.
Set and manage the warehouse budget to ensure there are enough resources in place and it is on target.
Drive systemic performance improvement in the warehouse
Key Skills, Characteristics and Qualifications Required:
3rd Level Qualification in related Supply Chain/Logistics/Business discipline
In-depth knowledge of supply chain/logistics process and best practice.
In-depth understanding of relevant Quality, Safety and Environmental standards.
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Excellent consultation and negotiation skills
IT literate with strong SAP experience desirable
Analytical ability with concern for detail and accuracy.
People Management Skills Required:
Minimum of 5-10 years strong people management experience ideally in a similar Warehousing environment, preferably within FMCG sector
Proven experience in managing and resolving IR/ER issues
Mentor, Support and empower the team to deliver high performance
Excellent leadership skills which embodies the Company values
Proven time management skills, along with planning and implementing change initiatives will be essential.
