Construction / Damp Proofing Technician

Dampdoctor is one of Ireland's leading specialist damp, mould and water-ingress companies. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Construction / Damp Proofing Technician to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical construction experience who wants a secure, long-term position and the opportunity to develop specialist skills.
Previous damp-proofing experience is a major advantage, but is not essential for the right person. Specialist training will be provided.

Who We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced construction workers, technicians, tradespeople or skilled labourers who are confident using construction tools and machinery in particular Coring equiptment.
You should have:
- Minimum 2–3 years' practical onsite construction experience
- Experience using core drilling/coring equipment, power tools and mechanically operated construction equipment
- Good practical understanding of buildings and construction
- Full clean driving licence
- Good timekeeping and a reliable approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow technical instructions and complete work to a high standard
- Sufficient English to understand site instructions and Health & Safety requirements and to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Willingness to learn new specialist skills
- Willingness to travel for work when required
Advantageous, but not essential
- Previous damp-proofing or waterproofing experience
- Mould remediation experience
- Building maintenance or property repair experience
- Experience with ventilation installation
- Safe Pass
- Manual Handling certification
Training can be provided where appropriate.
The Role
As a Dampdoctor Technician, you will work on residential, commercial and public-sector properties carrying out specialist remedial works identified by our surveying team.
Your work may include:
- Damp and moisture remediation works
- Core drilling and use of specialist construction equipment
- Mould remediation
- Installation of specialist damp and ventilation solutions
- General remedial building works
- Following specifications and instructions provided by Dampdoctor surveyors
- Recording completed works and photographs using company systems
- Communicating with our surveyors, office team and customers
- Maintaining company equipment and vehicle
- Working safely and complying with site and company Health & Safety procedures
Projects are mainly located throughout Dublin and the South East, with nationwide travel required from time to time.
