Deliver excellent service in the forest
We're looking for an Assistant Retail Manager with strong leadership and a passion for delivering service excellence. Working alongside the Retail Services Manager, you'll oversee the village retail operation, while ensuring financial targets and operational standards are met.

- Assist in managing retail operations, including vending and warehouse services
- Achieve financial targets and ensure compliance with policies and legislation
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent service
- Support performance management and colleague development

Your working hours
- Full-time contract, fully flexible
- You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 150 hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
- This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
About you
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a busy retail environment
- Strong financial skills, including stock control, scheduling and wastage analysis
- Experience managing a large team within a large organisation
- Empathetic and supportive approach to leading a team
- Able to coach individuals to be accountable for their own performance
