Post Summary:- The Centre for Academic Practice (CAP), Trinity Teaching & Learning welcomes applications for the position of Communications and Engagement Officer. The successful candidate will lead on the development, coordination, and delivery of communications and engagement strategies that support CAP’s mission to foster excellence and innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment across the university.
Working closely with the Head of the Centre for Academic Practice, the Teaching & Learning Projects Manager and key stakeholders within Trinity Teaching & Learning and across College, the post-holder will be responsible for developing and supporting strategy, plans and projects under the umbrella of Communications and Engagement, drafting and implementing communication plans and communications initiatives across the full range of CAP’s activities; managing external relations and leading on
CAP’s digital presence and identity within the university and externally across the Irish HE sector. The post-holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of the Centre and its growing team.
Post status: Fixed-Term Contract
This contract is for a fixed term period expiring on the 6th of September 2029.
The duration of this contract is limited to the above fixed-term period as the role is required to support the development and delivery of communications and engagement strategies, which are aligned to Trinity’s Strategic Plan [2025–2030]. This role is not offered on a permanent basis as it is linked to a defined phase of activity which is expected to be complete within the current Strategic Plan. The continuation of the role beyond the fixed-term period will therefore be subject to a review of institutional priorities and operational requirements within Trinity Teaching and Learning. The role is also externally funded and does not form part of the University’s core funding and is available for a finite period only. Accordingly, this contract will terminate on the expiry date stated above, or earlier if the relevant funding stream is terminated or withdrawn by the Higher Education Authority.
Hours of Post: Part-Time (0.8 FTE)
Salary: This appointment will be made on the pro rata Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€59,589 - €70,018 pro rata per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
