Job Description
Job Purpose
The Reach Truck Driver / General Operative is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of stock within the warehouse using a reach truck, as well as supporting general warehouse operations including picking, packing, loading, and stock control using WMOS system.
Key Responsibilities

Operate a reach truck safely to load, unload, and move pallets within racking systems.

Pick and pack orders accurately in line with warehouse management system (WMS) instructions.

Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are secured correctly for transport.

Carry out general warehouse duties including sorting, labelling, stock rotation and general housekeeping.

Complete loading manifests and stock documentation accurately.

Conduct daily pre-use checks on the reach truck and report any faults immediately.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area in line with health and safety standards.

Assist with stock takes and cycle counts as required.

Work collaboratively with the wider warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines.

Always follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications

Valid, in-date reach truck licence (essential).

Previous experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.

Good understanding of manual handling and warehouse health and safety practices.

Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing paperwork and stock records.

Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) is desirable.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Flexibility to work different shifts, or weekends as required.
Physical Requirements

Ability to safely lift and move stock in line with manual handling guidelines.

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

Able to remain on your feet and operate machinery for extended periods.
