Pharmacy Technician - Key Account Manager ( West Dublin )
The Role
A fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused Pharmacy Technician - Key Account Manager to join the Procurement function within the International Wholesale Division. Working closely with the Ethical / Medicines Purchasing team, this role is key to driving profitable growth through strategic pricing, sales analysis, and strong customer account management.
This is an idea opportunity for a technician interested in in making the move from retail pharmacy into the corporate pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Take full commercial ownership of accounts, including sales revenue, gross profit, margins, and target delivery
- Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships
- Manage and resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently
- Accurately record enquiries, offers, and commercial activity on internal systems
- Monitor monthly and annual account performance, taking action to improve growth and profitability
- Work closely with internal teams including Finance, Warehouse, IT, and Regulatory to ensure smooth delivery
- Understand freight options, rates, and commercial terms
The Person
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Experience managing sales targets, pricing, and margins
- Experience in pharmaceutical buying
- Exposure to account management or customer-facing commercial roles
- Understanding of supply chain, logistics, or freight processes is an advantage
