Construction Office & Customer Support Coordinator
We are looking for an organised, capable and personable individual to join our team in a varied office-based role within the construction and home energy upgrade sector.
This is a diverse position that would suit someone who enjoys dealing with both customers and contractors and is comfortable working in a busy construction environment. The successful candidate will provide general administrative support while also assisting with Health & Safety documentation, purchasing, subcontractor compliance and customer enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with enquiries from customers considering home energy upgrades.
- Speaking with potential clients to understand their requirements and discussing the different upgrade options available.
- Assisting with the preparation of initial estimates and quotations where appropriate.
- General office administration, including emails, filing, document preparation and maintaining company records.
- Preparing and maintaining Health & Safety files and project documentation.
- Ensuring subcontractor documentation is complete and up to date, including insurance details and other required compliance documentation.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and members of the project team.
- Assisting with purchasing and ordering materials, obtaining prices and following up with suppliers.
- Maintaining project, supplier and subcontractor records.
- Providing administrative support to the construction and project management teams.
- Assisting with other day-to-day office and project-related duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in someone who:
- Is comfortable dealing with customer enquiries relating to home energy upgrades.
- Has an understanding of construction terminology and the ability to discuss proposed works confidently with customers would be a strong advantage.
- Has previous administration experience, ideally within construction, engineering, property, energy or a related industry.
- Is comfortable with construction terminology and discussing building works with customers, suppliers and contractors.
- Has strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Is confident and professional when dealing with customers by phone and email.
- Is comfortable working with figures and preparing basic estimates.
- Has good computer skills and is comfortable learning new systems.
- Can manage a varied workload and follow tasks through to completion.
- Has good attention to detail, particularly when dealing with Health & Safety and compliance documentation.
- Is willing to take responsibility for tasks and work independently as part of a busy team.
Experience in home energy upgrades, retrofit works, SEAI grants, construction purchasing or Health & Safety administration would be an advantage, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
This is an interesting and varied role with the opportunity to become involved in several different areas of the business and develop the position over time.
Pay: From €36,000.00 per year
