Job Summary: Field Service Advisor supports customers by coordinating and scheduling service work for field technicians working on heavy construction machinery. They act as the central point of contact for customers, ensuring that service requests, breakdowns, and planned maintenance are managed efficiently and communicated clearly. The Service Advisor works closely with departments such as Parts, Workshop, Warranty, and field service to deliver a smooth service experience and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
· Be the first and last point of contact with our service customers.
· Schedule services proactively with customers.
· Schedule breakdown repairs.
· Communicate with customers to develop an understanding of their workplace and machine requirements.
· Communicate the customers work and faults to the field service engineer.
· Take orders from customers both face to face and over the phone.
· Identify parts requirements for customer jobs.
· Maintain an ordered stock room and requisition parts from stock.
· Contact customers for purchase orders and raise invoices.
· Process warranty claims and return parts.
· Liaise with the Workshop, Service Reception, Warranty and Parts Department.
· Establish, maintain and develop long-term customer relationships for initiating and managing the service process.
· Maintain new machine pre-delivery inspections.
· Ensuring service processes meet ISO requirement and are implemented in a consistent manner
Required knowledge and experience
· Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar Service Advisor role in the following sectors would be an advantage: Truck and Bus, Plant Hire, Motor Trade, Construction or Agricultural Equipment.
· Ability to demonstrate experience of working with technical customer service to identify faults over the phone essential.
· Experience in managing customer accounts.
· Excellent Interpersonal skills and be highly motivated.
· Fluent written/spoken English with excellent communication and organisational skills.
· Strong Computer Skills including MS Office.
· Must have the necessary work permits/visa to reside and work in Ireland at time of application.

salary up to €45,000 depending on experience
