The Working Foreman is responsible for the successful delivery of Homeology projects from commencement through to final handover. The role combines hands-on site work with leadership, ensuring all works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the high-quality standards expected by Homeology.
The Working Foreman will lead and motivate site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage day-to-day site activities, and ensure each project progresses efficiently from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for managing projects from site setup through to final client handover.
- Plan and coordinate all daily site activities.
- Lead by example by working alongside the site team where required.
- Manage and supervise all direct employees, subcontractors and specialist trades.
- Coordinate works between carpentry, plumbing, external wall insulation, roofing, plastering, painting, groundwork and other trades.
- Ensure materials, plant and equipment are available when required.
- Monitor project progress and keep works on programme.
- Carry out daily site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Identify defects early and ensure all snagging is completed before handover.
- Ensure all works comply with Building Regulations, SEAI requirements and Homeology quality standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, photographs and daily progress updates.
- Liaise with the Project Manager regarding progress, delays, variations and resource requirements.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Conduct daily site briefings and toolbox talks where required.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping throughout the project.
- Ensure every project is left clean, organised and ready for client occupation.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by maintaining professional communication with homeowners throughout the project.

- Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Office Staff, Quality Inspectors and the Scheduling Team.
- Provide regular progress updates and highlight potential issues before they become problems.
- Ensure clear communication with customers throughout each project.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Quality Responsibilities
- Deliver every project to Homeology's expected standard of excellence.
- Ensure no project is handed over with outstanding defects.
- Carry out regular quality inspections throughout the build.
- Ensure all works are completed correctly the first time.
- Promote continuous improvement across all projects.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Working Foreman, Site Foreman or Site Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of retrofit and residential construction.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades on live construction projects.
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Safe Pass (essential).
- Manual Handling (essential).
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
