Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Purpose/Scope: Support operations by keeping the plant and equipment operating reliably through preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault trouble shooting, and accurate record keeping, while contributing to the effectiveness of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance on existing systems and design maintenance schedules to ensure all systems remain in proper working order.
- Carry out maintenance, diagnosis, calibration, and repair of plant, equipment, facilities, and utilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, mechanical circuits, and all mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, processes, facilities, and utilities.
- Conduct routine and on-the-spot tests of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Always follow all safety standards and regulations.
- Write cost analysis reports for maintaining, upgrading, and repairing machinery and electrical systems.
- Provide guidance and training for team and junior technicians where required.
- Track all tools and parts used, and order replacements as needed.
- Execute preventative and unplanned maintenance tasks.
- Perform investigations and root cause analyses for breakdowns and faults.
- Record all maintenance issues, machine changes, breakdowns, spares required, and recommendations.
- Carry out project work as assigned.
- Ensure sufficient electrical and mechanical spares are available and flag any shortages to management.
Key Skills & Experience required:
- Trade-qualified fitter or electrician with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with mechanical systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, and automation.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ production maintenance experience.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with all departments.
- Leadership skills and the ability to train or mentor junior staff.
- High level of English and ability to maintain confidentiality.
This is a hands-on role where teamwork, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach are key. The successful candidate will be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping all plant, equipment, and systems running reliably.
