Join a state-of-the-art vaccines manufacturing facility in Dundalk and play a key role in driving electrical reliability, infrastructure improvements, compliance, and sustainability initiatives across the site.
As a Senior Specialist – Electrical Engineering, you will provide technical leadership for critical electrical systems and infrastructure, supporting long-term reliability, operational readiness, and business continuity. Working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, and external partners, you will lead improvement projects, manage technical risks, and help shape the future electrical strategy of a growing manufacturing site.

Bring energy, knowledge, and innovation to carry out the following:
- Lead electrical reliability and asset improvement initiatives across the site.
- Drive infrastructure upgrade projects from concept through implementation and operational handover.
- Provide technical leadership on electrical systems, infrastructure risks, and compliance requirements.
- Support site electrical safety programmes and ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with critical electrical assets and utilities.
- Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and change control activities relating to electrical systems.
- Develop technical justifications, project scopes, and improvement roadmaps to support reliability and business continuity.
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency projects aimed at reducing consumption and improving site performance.
- Manage engineering vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure safe and effective delivery.
- Partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to prioritise and deliver critical engineering improvements.
- Coach and support colleagues on electrical engineering standards, reliability, and risk management best practices.
What Skills You Will Need
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience supporting electrical systems and infrastructure within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical reliability, asset management, maintenance strategies, and critical utilities.
- Experience leading engineering projects and delivering infrastructure improvements in an operational manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to assess technical risks, prioritise actions, and implement practical solutions.
- Experience supporting change controls, investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of electrical compliance, safety standards, and engineering governance requirements.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and external service providers.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risks, solutions, and priorities.
- Experience supporting sustainability, energy optimisation, or utility improvement initiatives is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
