Fire Alarm / Fire Protection Engineer — Carlow / Kilkenny
A well-established, reputable business based in Carlow is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm or Fire Protection Engineer. If you know your way around fire detection and protection systems, hold a solid electrical background, and you're tired of lengthy commutes — this could be the role worth stopping for.
The Role
Working across commercial and industrial sites in the Carlow/Kilkenny region — installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm and fire protection systems. Permanent position with a company where people tend to stay.
Day to day:

Installation and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive callouts

Fault finding, diagnosis, and system testing

Client-facing work on commercial and industrial sites

Completion of service records and handover documentation
Who They're Looking For

Proven experience in fire alarm or fire protection engineering

Electrical qualification a strong advantage — Safe Electric / RECI registered or equivalent highly desirable

Familiarity with leading panel manufacturers (Hochiki, Notifier, Morley, Apollo, or similar)

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Clean driving licence

Local to Carlow/Kilkenny — commutable distance preferred
