We are working with a manufacturing client in Co. Galway who are looking to hire an experienced R&D Technician to join their team as they continue to expand. This is a permanent role with excellent opportunity to grow and progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, modify, and test prototype systems for laboratory and field validation.
- Support engineering teams with functional, environmental and durability testing.
- Validate hardware, software and system performance in real-world applications.
- Assemble and configure test equipment and support product verification activities.
- Perform diagnostics, fault finding and root cause analysis.
- Document test results, findings and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineers and end users to gather product feedback.
Requirements
- Technical qualification in Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or related discipline.
- 2+ years’ experience in electromechanical assembly, testing or similar environment.
- Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret test data and use measurement equipment.
- Basic understanding of software functionality and system testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Full driving licence required.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop.
