The Role:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Operator – Development Role at The Nest Box Egg Co. Ltd located in Monaghan. The role requires someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, can work an early morning shift and is willing to work overtime as necessary. The successful candidate will begin by working across intake, processing, packaging, and dispatch to gain a full understanding of the production lifecycle. Once trained, the role will progress into a core area such as Intake or Dispatch, offering responsibility, ownership, and long-term development.
Role Profile
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Members of the production team work on different production lines of various speeds.
· Operation of production machinery in accordance with food safety, health, and safety procedure.
· Measurement and inspection of products.
· To always keep your immediate work area clean.
· To report any incidents and follow the incident report procedure management.
· As a General Operative for Manufacturing / Assembly area, the individual will be responsible for performing all manufacturing / assembly processing, labelling, and packaging which will be monitored by quality verification (where applicable).
· As a Production Operator you will be trained to work in all the following areas – Intake and Loader, Shell Removal, Machine Monitor, Bag in Box, Packaging, Order Assembly, Dispatch.
· The individual will work as part of a team to maintain high quality/performance standards.
· Reporting to the Manufacturing/Assembly Team Leader, the position will require an ability to work specific deadlines and meet/exceed daily manufacturing / assembly targets.
· The individual will also be required to complete documentation to in house standards and be compliant with all in house procedures, i.e. Work Instructions, SOP etc as identified in relevant training plan.
· Manual handling activities will be required to support manufacturing / assembly set-up and warehouse activities.
· Perform all duties assigned by the Manufacturing/Assembly Team Leader or Designee.
· Carry out operations in the Manufacturing / Assembly areas, including processing, packaging, labelling.
· Operating manufacturing equipment.
· Unloading and loading lorry’s using the forklift
· Booking transport every morning for collection the same day.
· Supervising stock control, order assembly, delivery docket processing, order building / wrapping and loading of finished goods.
· Managing the stock control spreadsheet. (excel)
· Liaising with other departments when necessary.
· To comply with all HAACP requirements associated with your work.
· Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.
· Ensure that all duties are carried out in a safe manner.
· Support the training of new employees.
· Assist in the revision of relevant department instructions, SOP’s and other documentation as appropriate.
· Perform computer applications as required.
· Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Person Specification
Knowledge, Education & Experience:
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Previous experience operating pallet trucks and forklifts is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
· Basic IT skills required (e.g. data entry, stock systems, Excel)
· Fluent English is essential, with the ability to make and receive calls relating to logistics, order changes, and coordination with HQ

Pay: €14.15-€16.00 per hour
