About the Role
We are currently recruiting Part-Time Retail Sales Assistants to work across multiple Tesco supermarket locations in Dublin, Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy variety in their workday, thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, and are comfortable travelling between store locations as part of their daily role.
Successful candidates will be assigned to 8 to 10 nearby Tesco stores, covering shifts across locations on a roster basis. You will start your shift at one store and travel to the next as required — making this a dynamic, varied, and rewarding role for someone who enjoys being on the move.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned Tesco stores across Dublin and complete scheduled store visits
- Merchandise and face products according to planogram guidelines
- Conduct stock checks on shelf; if items are out of stock, check availability in the store warehouse/backroom
- Report stock and merchandising feedback to the Field Manager after each visit
- Verify correct SKU placement and roundel positioning
- Track and report campaign feedback and compliance at each store
- Take before and after photos of each store visit, upload and sync them via the company app
- Move to the next assigned store once tasks are complete
Requirements:
- Must hold an EU passport
- Must be based in Dublin and able to commute independently between multiple Tesco store locations
- Must be prepared to travel to various store locations as part of the role
- Reliable smartphone for app-based photo uploads and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow merchandising guidelines
- Good communication skills for reporting feedback to management
- Previous retail, merchandising, or FMCG experience is a plus but not essential
Note: Travel expenses are not covered by the company.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Flexible and comfortable working across multiple store locations on a weekly roster
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively when travelling between stores
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — confident engaging with customers and store managers
- Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Eligible to work in Ireland
Desirable:
- Previous experience in retail, supermarket, or a similar customer-facing role (full training provided for the right candidate)
- Familiarity with Tesco store operations, systems, or product ranges
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP awareness an advantage)
- Valid Irish driving licence and own transport — strongly preferred for multi-store travel
Working Hours
- Contract Type: Part-time, flexible roster-based scheduling
- Availability: Must be available across the full working week (Monday to Sunday)
- Shifts: Varies weekly — morning, afternoon, and evening shifts across multiple Tesco locations
- Roster: Issued weekly in advance — covering shift times and store locations for each day
