Main Purpose of the Job:
To ensure the Fruit & Veg Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provides our customers with excellent quality products and Customer service
Main Duties:
- To actively live the brand values of being Genuine, Inspiring, Vibrant and Committed and to engage others to do the same
- To achieve Sales Targets and Margins as agreed with store manager
- To ensure the highest standard of customer service is given to all customers at all times
- To ensure weekly stocktaking procedures are adhered to
- To ensure purchasing of stock is carried out in accordance with procedures and control of stock rotation, so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest order so as to maximise turnover
- To ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
- To ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times
- To ensure that department opening and closing procedures are carried out properly and efficiently
- To ensure all quality procedures are adhered to and recorded in your department
- To participate in quality review meetings and ensure action plans resulting from same are carried out
- To ensure hygiene standards are to the highest standards including a comprehensive HACCP plan and appropriate staff direction
- To ensure merchandising and presentation of the department is to the highest standard at all times
- To ensure standard and promotional pricing is maintained correctly
- To ensure Goods In procedures are adhered to
- To be aware of and adhere to Health & Safety Regulations relevant to your department and to notify any breaches to management
- To perform any other duties as directed to you by management from time to time
