Do you have experience in event set up/maintenance? Then an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing team at the Round Room at Mansion House in Dublin 2. The historic Round Room is Ireland's oldest purpose-built events centre holding a variety of wonderful client events throughout the year.
Location: Dawson Street, Dublin 2.
Salary: from €16 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: full time
This opportunity will be suitable for a person who has a can-do attitude, has a flare for event setup & interest in general maintenance/decorating activities. This is a fast-paced role, that involves heavy lifting and is an important part of all our event setups and support of ongoing venue maintenance.
Key responsibilities:
- Excellent communication and partnership with our event management team members.
- Set up function areas to agreed specifications.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment/furniture.
- Store and protect equipment/furniture correctly and safely.
- Work in a safe manner always.
- Assist with the cleaning turn around between events.
- Assist with accepting and securing deliveries for future events.
- Excellent time management.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Be hands-on and willing to be flexible in terms of workdays and hours as the business requires.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as a porter in Meetings & Events, hospitality or conference centres
- Have a positive, 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to resolve problems and come up with creative solutions.
- Ability to deal with other contractors or maintenance operatives.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Strong organisational Skills.
- Highly motivated and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Manual Handling certificate would be an advantage
