Job Summary:
A Maintenance Assistant is responsible for carrying out appropriate maintenance work promptly and to the highest standards to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Assistant, you are responsible for carrying out appropriate maintenance work promptly and to the highest standards to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Maintenance Assistant will also be required to follow all company statutory and legal regulatory requirements during repairs. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Implement company statutory and legal requirements including fire, health and safety, hygiene, electricity at work, and all local by-laws
- Respond to all enquiries promptly
- Carry out maintenance repair work and ensure the appropriate PPE is worn during all repairs
- Maintain the green areas and car parks when applicable
- Follow planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Ensure good relationships with internal and external customers and contractors
- Ensure energy conservation initiatives are implemented
- Follow C.O.S.H.H regulations, in particular the storage of hazardous substances
- Attend additional training suitable to the role
Operations & Coordination
- Ensure seamless communication between housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk teams.
- Take deliveries from suppliers and organize stock as required.
Hotel Security & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness in all public areas to uphold high hotel standards.
- Monitor security and guest safety, responding to emergency situations when required.
Teamwork & Professional Growth
- Actively participate in training and personal development opportunities.
- Take on additional responsibilities as requested by management.
Health & Safety:
- Report all accidents, incidents, and suspicious occurrences.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to hotel policies on hygiene, fire procedures, health & safety, and security.
- To ensure all accident, incidents and suspicious occurrences are reported to the relevant people and to assist in providing all relevant backup.
- To maintain own working area tidy and in good shape. To report defective materials and equipment to appropriate individual
- To be familiar with and adhere to all rules and regulations of the hotel with specific regard to:
- Hygiene
- Fire procedures
- Health and safety at work
- Security regulations
