Job Purpose
The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency in the kitchen. This position ensures that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are kept clean and ready for service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning & Hygiene
- Wash and clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly
2. Kitchen Support
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Keep storage areas clean and organised
- Support deliveries and stock organisation
3. Health & Safety
- Follow all hygiene and food safety regulations
- Ensure safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Maintain a safe working environment
