We are looking for a dependable, experienced Part-time Deli Assistant to join our team in a busy builders yard deli in Sallynoggin. The role focuses on preparing fresh rolls, sandwiches & breakfast baps to order — with great customer service. Experience using a coffee machine is required for this role. If you're fast, friendly, and know your way around a sandwich station, this is the job for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare & wrap breakfast and lunch rolls to order for takeaway
- Make and serve coffee & teas for take away
- Greet and serve customers efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised prep area at all times
- Follow strict HACCP Level 2 food safety and hygiene procedures
- Operate tills and assist with light cleaning and stock rotation
- Ensure all food is fresh, properly labelled, and well presented
- Prep all food for the following day in an efficient manner.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a deli, sandwich bar, or similar
- HACCP Level 2 certification is required
- Quick, clean, and confident food prep skills
- Steady approach with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and available for early morning starts (from 6:30am)
- Good communicator with a great sense of humour
- Fluent English and a team-player attitude
