An exciting opportunity has arisen within Jungheinrich Ireland for you to join our finance team as Area Service Manager Key Accounts.
The Role
Reporting to the Customer Service Director, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Area Service Manager Key Accounts to lead the delivery of after-sales services for a portfolio of key customers as well as managing a team of mobile site engineers. This role combines customer account management, service operations leadership, and team management to ensure exceptional service delivery, customer satisfaction, and account profitability.
This position requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, commercial awareness, people management skills, and a proactive customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery including developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customer.
- Manage a team of site-based and field Service Engineers supporting customer accounts nationwide, ensuring customer commitments are delivered effectively.
- Management of the Service Schedules ensuring that all service Maintenances are carried out on time.
- To ensure that all planned preventative maintenance and service schedules are completed on time and to agreed standards.
- Act as the primary contact for customer escalations, service reviews, and ongoing account management.
- Monitor account performance, service costs, and profitability, implementing actions to improve commercial outcomes where required.
- Ensure all planned maintenance schedules, service audits, and KPI requirements are achieved.
- Oversee project quotations and support larger customer site requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within service operations to improve customer service and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the Technical Department to ensure engineers receive the support required to deliver best-in-class service.
- Provide leadership, coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing development for Service Engineers.
- Manage workshop activities in Maynooth to support customer and operational requirements ensuring workshop productivity, quality standards, and health and safety requirements are maintained.
- Maintain strong communication with customers, Finance, Operations, and the Senior Management Team.
The Person
We are looking for a customer-focused professional with strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to build lasting client relationships with excellent leadership skills and can balance customer needs with operational performance and business objectives
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within an engineering, technical service, or related environment.
- Degree, Diploma, or FETAC Level 7/8 qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing teams and driving operational performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full clean driving licence.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience working with SAP ERP systems.
- Experience managing service-level agreements (SLAs) and customer performance metrics.
