Buttimer Engineering have an excellent opportunity for a number of Mechanical Fitters to join our expanding team. As a Fitter, you will play a pivotal role on our project teams.
Reporting to: Site Supervisor
Location: Site Specific (Leinster & Munster Region)
The Role
- Working as part of a team to complete Mechanical projects.
- Carry out the following Mechanical work but not limited to; Development and fit out of pipework, pipe supports, 3mm plus platework and ducting, working with Carbon and Stainless steels, working with a variety of materials and machinery, including pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems, reading engineering drawings and understanding of Welding Procedure Specifications and certification.
- Ensure works comply with site quality standards and guidelines.
- Comply with all safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with layout drawings and dimensions.
- All other duties associated with this role.
The Person
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft is essential – Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting or Metal Fabrication.
- You should have experience in projects in similar industries.
- You should have up to date Safe pass, Manual Handling, Confined space, working at heights awareness, Abrasive Wheel training and IPAF or equivalent.
- Clean driver’s licence.
- You should demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge with practical application.
- You should have strong problem-solving skills.
- You should be a strong team player but also able to work independently.
- You must be flexible with regard to shift/start times, and willing to travel to different locations to carry out work.
