18 Month Higher Diploma in Midwifery Education Programme
Applications are welcome from Nurses who:
Are registered on the General Division of the
Registrar of Nurses (or those eligible for registration)
held by the Nursing Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
The Rotunda Hospital (in conjunction with The University of Dublin, Trinity College (the hospitals academic partner) offers students a diverse and extremely interesting educational opportunity. Midwifery students will experience a wide spectrum of practice working with Midwives in the hospital and community settings and as a member of the multidisciplinary team caring for women with complex pregnancies and varying needs.
Midwifery is recognised as a separate and distinct profession to that of Nursing
(Nurses & Midwives Act 2011).
