We are a busy, patient-focused dental clinic in Portarlington, committed to providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Practice Manager to lead our team and oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic. Currently a four surgery practice soon expanding to seven!
The Role
As Dental Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the operational, administrative, and people-management aspects of the practice. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is organised, confident, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily operations of the dental practice
- Leading, supporting, and supervising the reception and clinical support team
- Overseeing appointment scheduling, patient flow, and customer service
- Handling HR duties including staff rotas, onboarding, and performance management
- Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Ensuring compliance with HIQA, infection control, and health & safety standards
- Supporting dentists with operational and administrative needs
- Managing billing, payments, and basic financial reporting
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental practice or healthcare management role (essential)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Confident with practice management software and general IT systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, approachable, and patient-focused attitude
