About the Role
We are seeking a Learning Programme Manager to join our organisation. This role owns the in-house delivery, coordination and assessment quality of our programmes and Continuous Education (CE) offering, from scheduling and SME management through to certification and student experience. You'll combine an instructional design/learning experience design background with strong project management and operational skills to keep our programmes running smoothly and our learners well supported, while continuously improving how we deliver.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & CE Delivery, Coordination
- Deliver virtual class sessions on our Professional Diploma and Certificate programmes.
- Own programme scheduling and the delivery calendar across all cohorts and CE/membership offerings.
- Coordinate day-to-day delivery, ensuring sessions, materials, and resourcing are in place and running smoothly.
- Arrange cover for tutors and facilitators as needed, and step in to facilitate live sessions yourself where required.
- Facilitate and eModerate learning sessions and online community/discussion spaces to keep learners engaged.
- Manage and resolve student queries in a timely, helpful manner, acting as a key point of contact throughout the learner journey.
Assessment Management
- Manage the end-to-end assessment process, including the internal IV (Internal Verification) process and moderation, sampling 10% of submissions per cohort.
- Run assessment calibration sessions with tutors/assessors to ensure consistent, fair marking against the rubric.
- Handle referrals: meet 1:1 with referred learners, review their assessment and rubric to provide clear, constructive feedback, and complete the regrading process.
SME & Vendor Management
- Recruit, brief, and manage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who contribute to content, delivery, and workshops.
- Research and source potential SMEs and vendors, particularly for tool-specific workshops within our CE offering.
- Own outreach and ongoing back-and-forth communications with SMEs and vendors to confirm availability, agree scope, and manage relationships.
Learning Experience (LX) Design & Content
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing learning experiences and recommend and implement adjustments to improve outcomes and engagement.
- Provide thought leadership through occasional content generation (e.g. articles, webinars, community content) that reflects well on the Institute's expertise.
Quality & Student Experience
- Own Customer Satisfaction and Certification rates, tracking trends and acting on them to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the scheduling of Continuous Education / membership offerings, ensuring a steady and well-organised calendar.
- Manage our relationship with external Accreditation Partners.
Who You Are
- An Instructional Designer / Learning Experience Designer with genuine project management or operations experience, you're as comfortable running a delivery schedule as you are reviewing a learning design.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple moving parts (people, timelines, content) at once.
- A confident, empathetic communicator, comfortable giving learners direct feedback and managing SME/vendor relationships.
- Detail-oriented, particularly when it comes to assessment, moderation, and quality standards.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, agile start-up environment.
Desired Competencies
- A certification or equivalent in education, instructional design, Learning Experience Design, or digital learning.
- Demonstrated experience in programme/project coordination or operations, ideally within online education, training, or a related service environment.
- Experience with assessment moderation, quality assurance, or accreditation processes is a strong advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience managing external contributors, freelancers, or vendors.
- Familiarity with learning experience design principles and a good eye for evaluating and improving content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
