Purpose of the Role:
The Operations Trainer builds colleagues' operational capability through structured training, coaching
and assessment, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Capability Development
-
Deliver induction, onboarding and operational training for new and existing colleagues.

Coach and assess colleagues against SOPs, work instructions and competency requirements.
Skilled Operations Colleagues (all levels)
-
Train and validate colleagues in safe, effective and consistent operational practices.

Support performance on efficiency, quality, changeovers, checks and basic troubleshooting.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
-
Ensure training supports food safety, quality, health & safety and company standards.

Maintain audit-ready training and competency records.

Responsible for food safety, quality and integrity in your role specific tasks incl. assessment of
Critical Control Point verification, accuracy checks (Metal Detection) and Checkweigher (LOMA) - product weight verification checks (incl setting / maintaining the programmes) where required.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

Work with leaders and SMEs to identify training needs and improve performance.

Support updates to procedures, materials and best practice standards.
Documentation & Record Management

Maintain training plans, records, matrices and competency documentation.

Report on training completion, competence and capability gaps.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Essential
Operational experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, food production or FMCG.
Experience delivering training, coaching or skills development.
Strong communication, planning, organisation and record-keeping skills - fluent English is required
Good understanding of operational, health & safety, food safety and quality standards.
Desirable
Confident using Microsoft Office and adapting to operational needs.
