We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave cover. This role will lead and support all aspects of Human Resources across the business, helping to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and managers across all locations to support employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training, engagement, and HR administration.
It is intended that the successful candidate will work closely with our current HR Manager for several weeks to ensure a smooth transition.
The role comes with a salary of €50,000 per annum.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the business.
Manage employee relations matters, ensuring issues are handled professionally, fairly, and in line with company policies and employment legislation.
Coordinate and manage recruitment activities including advertising vacancies, screening candidates, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Support managers with performance management, disciplinary procedures, grievance processes, and employee development plans.
Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation, ensuring compliance with GDPR and company standards.
Administer employee leave, probation reviews, contract changes, and other HR-related processes.
Work closely with managers to identify training and development needs and support learning initiatives across the company.
Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and company initiatives.
Monitor and ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice HR standards.
Support employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and company culture programmes.
Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation for senior management as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance HR processes and employee experience.
Ensure department KPIs are maintained or improved.
Prepare weekly HR reports for meeting with CEO/COO.
Qualifications and Skills:
A third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist or HR Manager role.
Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices.
Experience managing employee relations cases and providing advice to managers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience in a multi-site retail or customer-focused environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
CIPD qualification or working towards same would be advantageous.
