Electrical Installations Engineer
Qualified Electricians – Build a Specialist Engineering Career with Electro Automation Group
Location: Dublin (will involve travel outside Dublin)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Looking for more than another electrical job?
You've worked hard to become a qualified electrician. Now you're looking for a role where you can continue to learn, work with cutting-edge technology and build a long-term career with a company that genuinely invests in its people.
That's exactly what you'll find at Electro Automation Group.
For over 40 years, we've been one of Ireland's leading providers of automation, access control and integrated security solutions. We design, install, commission and maintain automated gates, barriers, automatic doors, bollards, access control, CCTV, parking systems and integrated security solutions for customers across Ireland.
Our reputation has been built on technical excellence, customer service and, most importantly, our people.
Many of our engineers have been with us for years because we provide interesting work, continuous training, career progression and the opportunity to become true specialists in a growing industry.
We're Looking for Someone Who Wants a Career
We're not looking to fill a vacancy—we're looking for someone who wants to build a future with us.
If you're simply looking for your next job, this probably isn't the right opportunity.
If you're looking for a company that will invest in your development, help you learn new technologies and give you the opportunity to build a long-term electrical career, we'd love to hear from you.
Whether your experience comes from electrical contracting, industrial electrical work, maintenance or service engineering, we'll provide the specialist product training and support to help you become an expert in automation and security systems.
Every Day is Different
No two days are ever the same.
One day you could be commissioning an automated gate system at a logistics facility.
The next, installing access control in a commercial office, servicing automatic barriers at a distribution centre or fault finding on integrated security systems.
You'll work on some of Ireland's most advanced automation and access control technologies while learning from experienced engineers who are passionate about what they do.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our Engineering team, you'll:
- Install, commission and service automated gates, barriers, automatic doors, bollards and parking systems.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work.
- Configure and test automation and access control equipment.
- Accurately record work using our mobile engineering system.
- Deliver outstanding customer service on every site.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest professional standards.
- Work closely with colleagues to continually improve our service delivery.
- Participate in a shared on-call rota with fellow engineers.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a qualified electrician with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop specialist engineering skills.
You'll ideally have:
- A recognised electrical trade qualification.
- Valid electrical trade certificates.
- A full, clean driving licence.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Experience carrying out electrical installation, maintenance or fault finding.
- Strong electrical diagnostic skills.
- A professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Experience with automation, access control or security systems is an advantage—but it's not essential. We can teach you our products and systems. What we can't teach is enthusiasm, commitment and pride in your work.
