About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to lead our construction team on an exciting new project in Patrickswell, Co. Limerick.
As the Site Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day operations on-site. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage direct labour, and ensure our projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants to make an impact on a high-profile local development.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Manage and coordinate all daily on-site activities from groundworks through to final handover.
- Subcontractor & Labour Management: Direct and supervise subcontractors, site engineers, and direct labour to keep the project moving efficiently.
- Health & Safety: Maintain strict Health & Safety standards on-site, including site inductions, toolbox talks, and keeping the site safety file up to date.
- Programme Delivery: Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure key project milestones and targets are met.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, and Irish Building Regulations (including BCAR procedures).
- Site Records: Maintain accurate daily site diaries, material logs, and progress reports.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Site Manager or Site Foreman in Ireland.
- Background: A trade background (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying) or a third-level qualification in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is highly desirable.
- Certifications:
- Valid Safe Pass and CSCS card (Required).
- Managing Safety in Construction or similar health & safety qualification.
- First Aid certification is a strong advantage.
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Able to read and interpret technical drawings confidently.
