Job Purpose We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vendor Analyst to join our team and support the delivery of our strategic programmes. This person must be a first-class communicator, with high levels of initiative, analytical capability and drive to support strategic programme delivery, working side-by-side with our internal partners to enable and drive change with key external vendors. The role requires careful navigation of diverse vendor needs, while balancing priorities to cultivate strong partnerships that advance EirGrid’s goals. This opportunity will be reporting to our Vendor & Strategic Partner Manager.
Key Responsibilities As part of our Energy Transition team, the Vendor Analyst supports with:
- Vendor identification and mapping
- Management of vendor relationships and ongoing communication channels
- Monitor vendor dependencies, risks and issues
- Coordinate with procurement, commercial and programme teams to ensure alignment between vendor delivery and expectations
- Prompt response to vendor expectations, concerns and queries
- Influencing and negotiation with internal teams and external partners
- Providing creative solutions to address emerging challenges
- Support resolution of vendor-related delivery or communication challenges
- Assist in tracking vendor performance, feedback, continuous improvement plans and effectiveness
- Assist with progress tracking, and reporting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Proven experience in vendor/supplier management in complex environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
- Strategic mindset with ability to balance competing priorities
- Experience communicating technical subject matter to non-technical audiences
- High proficiency in MS365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Flexibility to operate in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
- Experience working within framework agreements or multi-vendor ecosystems
- Proficiency in collaboration tools (Miro, Slido, SurveyMonkey), PowerBI or reporting/dashboard experience is an advantage.
