As an international protection accommodation service provider, we offer responsive, inclusive, and high-quality accommodation services that promote the health, safety, dignity, and social integration of international protection seekers. As Security Personnel you will work along our security team to ensure our complexes are safe and secure from 8pm to 8am.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Security of Premises: Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including residential areas, common spaces, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorised activity and identify potential risks.
- Risk and Incident Response: Respond swiftly and appropriately to any incidents, disturbances, or emergencies. Provide initial intervention, escalate situations when necessary, and document all incidents in accordance with company policies.
- CCTV Surveillance: Monitor CCTV feeds to oversee facility security, identify unusual or suspicious behavior, and report any concerning activities to the appropriate personnel.
- Resident and Staff Support: Provide courteous assistance to residents and staff. Handle any resident concerns with sensitivity, adhering to confidentiality and cultural competency standards.
- Safety Checks: Ensure all entry points are secure, check that safety equipment is in good working condition, and report any maintenance needs.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain a nightly log of activities, observations, and incidents.
Skills and Qualifications
- Certifications: Must hold a PSA license. First aid and fire safety training is desirable.
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in a security or related role, ideally in residential or accommodation settings.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with residents and staff in a professional, calm, and respectful manner.
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills and the ability to accurately assess and report incidents and security concerns.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of and respect for cultural diversity.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick thinker who can effectively manage emergencies, diffuse conflicts, and remain composed under pressure.
- Employment is subject to Garda Vetting clearance.
